Coaching Framework

Skill Levels
& Progression

Two paths on one roadmap. Future Champions divers move through Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Once they have their four dives, they join the competitive team and climb Levels 1 through 5, from first jumps off the side to championship optional lists on 1 meter and 3 meter.

How we score
each skill.

Coaches mark every skill on a 0–4 scale during evaluations. To progress to the next level, a diver needs to demonstrate each required skill at a Good level or above, two times in a row.

Future Champions

Bronze, Silver, Gold

These three levels are an introduction to the sport. Every diver in Future Champions works through them. By the end of Gold a diver has a front dive, back dive, reverse dive, and inward dive on 1 meter, and their foundational skills on 3 meter, above all the back line up tuck. That is the threshold for the competitive team.

Future Champions

Bronze

What's new
Divers learn to jump and enter the water from standing. Straight and tuck jumps, forward and back, first with the arms up and then with an arm circle, plus their first line ups.

From Gold to the competitive team

A diver who finishes Gold has a front dive, back dive, reverse dive, and inward dive on 1 meter and a back line up tuck on 3 meter. That is our Junior Olympic standard, and any age can meet it. Divers who reach it are invited to join the competitive team. Joining is optional. Divers who join move to the competitive practice schedule and tuition and start on Level 1.
